Nudism is an increasingly popular option all over the world among people who want to enjoy the beach and its surroundings in a different and more natural way. Costa Brava has several coves and beaches specifically dedicated to the use of nudists, as well as spaces enabled in the context of textile beaches.
From Visita Costa Brava we offer you a list of the top 10 of the best nudist beaches and coves on the Costa Brava.
In Lloret de Mar we find one of the most outstanding beaches, both in Catalonia and in the Mediterranean as a whole, the Sa Boadella cove. This beautiful natural space forms part of the list of the best beaches in Europe drawn up by the European Best Destination community. It is also a traditional nudist area where this practice is totally permitted and respected.
In the natural area of Massis de Cadiretes, on the road that takes us from Tossa de Mar to Sant Feliu de Guíxols, we find the next two beaches on the list.
The first of these is Vallpresona cove. It is located in an unspoilt natural area just past the Salions cove housing development. To get there, park your car approximately one kilometre away and walk the last part of the way. The area is very secluded and far from the urban centres; it is a perfect place to enjoy nudism.
A few kilometres to the north, very close to the Rosamar housing development, we find Senyor Ramon cove, an area with characteristics quite similar to those of the Vallpresona cove. This cove has its own car park from where we must walk the last stretch on foot. There is also the option of parking in the urbanisation. It is a very pleasant place to experience nature far from the crowds of the more central areas.
In the municipality of Sant Antoni de Calonge there is Roques Planes cove, a singular space characterised by the eroded rocks that occupy an important part of its surface. This is a cove that is traditionally highly valued by the nudist community.
Following the coastline to Palamós, we find Estreta cove, located in a spectacular natural setting of pine trees and cliffs. To reach this pleasant cove with a nudist tradition, follow the coastal path between Castell beach and Calella de Palafrugell.
Further north is one of the best known and most internationally appreciated beaches by the nudist community, the Illa Roja beach in Begur. This small nudist paradise has easy and easy access, which means that it normally has a fairly high occupancy rate. Its beautiful natural setting is characterised by a reddish islet that creates two separate spaces on the same beach.
Going to Roses, about seven kilometres from the town centre, you will find Murtra cove, a practically unspoilt and little-visited spot where nudism is allowed. Follow the road to Cala Montjoi until you reach a signpost at the roadside indicating the location of Cala Murtra. The last stretch must be done on foot.
At the south of Cadaqués there is Sa Conca beach. It is an easily accessible spot where you can park your private vehicle very close to the sand. This traditional nudist beach stands out for its rocky surroundings and for the slope we find when we enter the water. Due to its accessibility, it tends to have a higher level of occupation than the more isolated beaches.
About 2/3 kilometres from the centre of El Port de la Selva we find Tamariua cove. This traditional nudist beach has a medium occupancy rate and is easily accessible, both by car and on foot from the centre of the town. Its pleasant surroundings make it a good option if you are moving around this area in the north of the Costa Brava.
The nudist beach that we would like to highlight in the northernmost part of the Costa Brava is Del Pi beach, located to the north of Portbou, very close to the border with France. It is a very secluded and pleasant place, with a surface made up of pebbles and a steep relief. It can be easily reached from the coastal path that comes from Portbou.
