The Palamós lighthouse
The lighthouse of Palamós is located on Punta del Molí, marking the limit of the fishing port. Its location offers one of the most beautiful views we can have of the bay.
The inauguration of the facilities dates back to 1865, in a context of construction of many similar infrastructures as a result of the execution of the general plan for the maritime lighting of the coasts and ports of Spain.
The Palamós lighthouse stands out for its peculiar hexagonal shape, which is very rare in Catalonia. The original structure was renovated from 1975 onwards, as the building still bore the consequences of the Civil War.
