The Devesa Park

The Devesa Park is the main green lung of the city of Girona. With its 40 ha extension, it is also the largest urban park in Catalonia.

This formidable natural space is located between the Ter, Onyar and Güell rivers. Before its adaptation as a park, it was an area that was frequently flooded, especially due to the floods of the Ter river.
Most of the plane trees that we currently see in the Devesa were planted in the mid-19th century. Therefore, there are trees that are over one hundred and seventy years old, which in some cases have grown up to 60 meters in height.

In addition to being a perfect space for outdoor sports and walking, the Devesa also usually hosts some of the city's most important events, such as many of the concerts and activities that take place during the Sant Narcís Festivals.
