Santa Clotilde Botanical Garden
In a privileged enclave of the municipality of Lloret de Mar, between Boadella cove and Fenals Beach, we find the Santa Clotilde Gardens. This natural space was commissioned by the Marquis of Roviralta to the architect and landscaper Nicolau Maria Rubió in 1919.
The Santa Clotilde Gardens are one of the main examples of the noucentista garden, framed within an artistic movement that aims to recover the order and measure of the classical world.
As for the vegetation that can be found in the gardens, the presence of species typical of the Mediterranean basin stands out, such as pines, cypresses, or lindens. The use of ivy as an ornamental element also stands out.
Another element to take into account is the sculptural ensembles that we find located in different points of the gardens. The sirens stand out as a link to the world of water, as well as the neoclassical busts and animals.
