Sant Pere de l'Escala
In the center of the old town of l'Escala, we find the church of Sant Pere. This building, in late Gothic style, was built in different stages during the 18th century.
During the Civil War, the church suffered a major fire that caused significant damage to the building and resulted in the disappearance of important pieces, such as the main altarpiece. Once the war was over, the building was restored.
Currently, the church of Sant Pere is a protected building as a Local Cultural Heritage.
