Sant Miquel de Colera
The church of Sant Miquel de Colera is located in the Albera mountain range, in the Balmeta area. It was built in the 12th century, and until the 18th century it was the parish church of the municipality of Colera. At this time, the worship was moved to the core of Colera, near the sea.
The monument consists of a single nave and a semicircular apse, and we can place it in the architectural context of Romanesque art.
Its disuse and abandonment caused a great deterioration of its structure, until in 1983 a campaign was started to consolidate and restore the building.
