S'Arenella Lighthouse
The s'Arenella Lighthouse is located on the tip of s'Arenella, in the bay of Port de la Selva. This natural space has a large car park and a spectacular viewpoint just a few meters from the lighthouse.
We find the origin of the lighthouse in an initiative carried out in 1891 by the Society for the Rescue of Shipwrecked People of Girona. The inauguration of the building did not take place until a few years later, in 1913.
Currently, the lighthouse is fully automated. From 1999, the figure of the lighthouse keeper ceased to be useful in the s'Arenella facilities.
