Portlligat beach
Portlligat beach is one of the best known on the Costa Brava, as it is where the Salvador Dalí House-Museum is located, the habitual residence of the brilliant painter from Empordà. This fact, together with its easy access by car and the proximity of hotels, means that this place usually has a high volume of visitors.
One of the main characteristics of this iconic beach is that its shore is usually full of fishermen's boats, which form a beautiful postcard together with the natural environment that surrounds it, very characteristic of Cap de Creus.
A short distance from the beach are the islands of Portlligat and Sa Farnera, which protect the environment from the harshest effects of inclement weather.

Salvador's Dalí legacy
Portlligat is a village located on the Cap de Creus and belongs to Cadaqués. Due to its good location, this coastal spot became the main base for many fishermen in Cadaqués. Nowadays, Portlligat is mainly a tourist area, with two hotels and several businesses aimed at visitors.
As well as having a very pleasant beach, Portlligat is also home to the Salvador Dalí House-Museum, a space that can be visited and which was the place of residence of the brilliant painter from Empordà. The house was designed and decorated by Dalí himself, and is one of the spaces that make up the Dalinian Triangle, together with the Dalí Museum in Figueres and the Palau de Púbol.
