Port Bo beach or Platja de les Barques

The Port Bo beach or Platja de les Barques is located in Calella de Palafrugell, in the middle of two other beaches: Platja d'en Calau and Platja de Malaespina. It is very well known because every summer the Calella Habanera concert is held here, which is very popular all over Catalonia.
Its physiognomy is notable for the small rocky reefs between the sea and the sand, which create different atmospheres. Typical of this beach are the fishermen's boats that we find on the shore and that make up a beautiful postcard.

There are several hotels in Calella de Palafrugell, but we would like to highlight those located just a few metres from the beach, from where you can enjoy a perfect stay and have access to the sand and waters of Port Bo beach in a matter of minutes.

As it is located right in the town centre and is easily accessible, the beach is usually very busy. Port Bo beach is also accessible for people with reduced mobility thanks to the access walkway. It also has several services such as showers and bar and restaurant areas.
