L'Almadrava beach
L'Almadrava is a well-known beach in the area, located 5-7 kilometres from the centre of Roses and is especially attractive for families.
It is made up of fine sand and is located in a residential area, which means that it has a high level of occupation. It is easy to reach by car, following the coastal road from the centre of Roses, and there is a parking area a few metres away. It also has a bus stop, although it is highly recommended to get there by taking a quiet walk along the coastal path and enjoy the wonderful views.
In addition, the beach offers all kinds of services: parking area, bar and restaurant, showers and toilets, boat hire, and water sports can be practised. It is also accessible for people with reduced mobility thanks to the access walkways.
It has been awarded the EMAS and ISO 14001 quality labels.

The present-day Roses owes its origin to the Greek colony of Rhode, a founding nucleus that took advantage of the privileged location of this territory.
The bay of Roses is a magnificent setting for water activities, and is home to the fishing port and the important marina. The town's link with fishing is close, and from it derives a rich gastronomic tradition that has led to the emergence of internationally renowned chefs such as Ferran Adrià.
Both in the surroundings and in the town centre of Roses, nature and culture come together with recommended places to visit, such as the Natural Park of Cap de Creus, the Aiguamolls del Empordà, the Visigothic Castrum of Puig Rom or the imposing Citadel of Roses.
