Platja del Morts beach
Platja dels Morts beach in Colera owes its curious name to the fact that until the neighbouring town of Portbou did not have a cemetery, the inhabitants deposited their dead in the cemetery of Colera, transporting them by sea and disembarking on this beach.
It is a long beach, about 160 metres long, made up mainly of pebbles and located in the urban environment, next to the Portes beach. It is easily accessible, and can even be reached by train, as there is a train stop very close by. It has several services such as showers, bar and buoys. The beach also has a Vias Bravas itinerary for lovers of open water swimming.
