Beaches and coves | Beaches and coves Platja d'Aro
Rovira cove
The Rovira cove is located in Platja d'Aro, very close to the Roman village of Pla de Palol.
It is a cove of coarse sand with a significant slope when entering the water. On one of its sides, the rocks form a small opening to the sea that is very sheltered and is very useful for refreshing the children.
It has a large number of services for bathers, such as a bar area, showers, lifeguards, the possibility of renting deckchairs and an aquatic platform for children. It is also accessible for people with reduced mobility thanks to the access ramps and walkways and adapted toilets.
It has obtained the Compromís Tourism Quality and Blue Flag awards.
Visit Platja d'Aro
In the heart of Costa Brava
Platja d'Aro is, with Castell d'Aro and S'Agaró, part of the municipality of Castell-Platja d'Aro. It is located in the heart of Costa Brava, and it has more than two kilometres of beach and a group of little coves that complement its landscape. This natural environment is excellent to practise nautical sports, hiking and BTT.
The town also gives us an important cultural and architectonic offer, with places like Roman village of Pla de Palol or the historical city centre of Castell d'Aro, declared Cultural Asset of National Interest.
