Montgó cove
Montgó cove is located on the border between L'Escala and L'Estartit, in a very pleasant area sheltered from the Tramuntana wind thanks to its orientation. It is common to see motorboats and boats at anchor.
Although it belongs to Estartit, it is advisable to reach it from L'Escala, either on foot or by car, as it is located a short distance from the centre of the municipality.
As it is located in an urban environment, it is very popular with local residents, families and couples. It has a wide range of services: toilets, showers, sun lounger hire, lifeguard, car park, bar service and the possibility of practising various water sports. It is also accessible for people with reduced mobility and has access ramps and walkways and adapted toilets.
It has obtained the Blue Flag award.
Visit L'Estartit
The most impressive marine nature reserve
L'Estartit is a magnificent destination to enjoy a few days of active tourism. The fabulous seabed of the Medes islands, a large reserve of marine fauna and flora, is considered one of the most outstanding natural areas of natural interest in the whole of the Mediterranean.
This environment makes l'Estartit a fantastic place to enjoy all kinds of water sports (sailing, scuba diving, kayaking, snorkelling, etc.). The Montgrí Natural Park is also a magnificent place for excursions and visits to the wetlands, the picturesque fortified farmhouses and the beautiful landscapes of the Empordà.
The town centre also has some highly recommended spots and spaces, such as the Punta del Molinet, the marina or Santa Anna street, where most of the town's shops are located. L'Estartit also has an interesting gastronomic offer, with several options to enjoy traditional, Italian or Mexican cuisine, among others.
