Sant Pere Pescador beach

With its 6.3 kilometres of sand and dunes, Sant Pere Pescador beach is the longest beach in the Gulf of Roses. It stretches from the mouth of the Fluvià river, where we also find Can Martinet beach and Gola del Fluvià beach, to the mouth of the Vell river, next to El Riuet beach, next to Sant Martí d'Empúries.

As it is such an extensive beach, there are areas for all kinds of activities. Among others, there is an area reserved exclusively for water sports. It is precisely on this beach that one of the events of the windsurfing world championship is held. There is also another area reserved exclusively for nudists.

Moreover, the beach of Sant Pere Pescador is located in an area of great natural beauty, as on the other side of the mouth of the river Fluvià we find the Aiguamolls de l'Empordà. It is easily accessible by car, along the road from l'Escala to Sant Pere Pescador, and has some parking areas. It can also be reached on foot, from the numerous campsites located on the sandy shores.
