Beginning of the route - Roses
The route that we are suggesting starts in La Punta beach in Roses, located next to the sports port. An excellent site to cool off and start the day with energy.
After having a bath we decided to drink something and, next to the beach, there was the Ona Roses Beach Bar. From this bar we can stand out the views of all Roses bay, the nice environment, the music... but what we will always appreciate is their good advice and attention. We asked by a good route and a restaurant to have lunch, and they really couldn't have advised us better.
Cala Montjoi
Following their indications, we took the car to do a short road of 15 minutes until Cala Montjoi. This cove is not only famous for its waters and its landscape, it is because it has the restaurant that was considered for a long time the best restaurant in the world, El Bulli. Shortly, this building will be El Bulli 1846, a kind of laboratory dedicated to gastronomy.
Cala Pelosa
Again in the car and leaving the pavement, we drive 2,5 kilometres more or less through La Roca street until arriving to our final destination, Cala Pelosa. In the middle of Natural Park of Cap de Creus, this cove is a little paradise landscape practically virgin.
The promise of an incredible meal was immediate. As our friends of Ona Roses Beach Bar indicated, we headed towards Chiringito La Pelosa, located in the same cove. Principally, they are specialised in fish and rice, although in its menu there is also a little space to meat. It doesn't matter what you order because it is very difficult to be wrong, the flavour and the quality of its cook justifies this route.
If after having lunch you still want to walk, from Cala Pelosa you can take a one hour walk to Cap Norfeu, a little rocky peninsula where we can enjoy the excellent landscape that Natural Park of Cap de Creus offers to us.
