Santa Cristina beach
Santa Cristina beach, one of the most emblematic beaches for the people of Lloret de Mar, receives the relics of Santa Cristina in a procession by sea to the hermitage of the same name during the town festival of Lloret de Mar.
This site is located between the cliffs of the Pinya de Rosa Botanical Garden and the pine forest that surrounds the path leading to the Santa Cristina hermitage.
It is a family beach with shallow crystalline waters and fine sand, visited mainly by local bathers and some tourists who arrive on the boats that travel along the Costa Brava.
The beach is divided into two parts separated by a characteristic rock with an opening that allows the passage between Santa Cristina beach and Treumal cove.
The first one, about 500 metres long, opens up in front of the path that leads from the hermitage, crossing the grove under the presence of the Hotel Santa Marta hotel, the only tourist establishment in the area.
Treumal cove, part of Blanes, is much more secluded and intimate, about 200 metres long and much wilder and more natural than its neighbouring beach.
A secret for snorkellers: there is an image of Santa Cristina hidden somewhere in the sea, off the coast of Santa Cristina beach.
It has been awarded the Blue Flag distinction for the quality of its services and its excellent environmental conditions.
