Peixopalo is the name given to dried cod, one of the most popular products in Sant Feliu de Guíxols.
From the 19th century onwards, the peixopalo became part of the local gastronomy as it gradually arrived at the port of Sant Feliu, and ended up becoming one of its most popular ingredients.
Every year, during Lent, the restaurants of Sant Feliu de Guíxols promote this delicious seafood product by offering us their Cod and Peixopalo Cuisine menus.
